CBS MarketWatch: Gold futures fell Thursday, ending near $930 an

GoldLine.com: Jul 02, 2009 - Unemployment Rate Reaches 9.5% -
Gold and silver sold off heavily again today, in reaction to the
strengthening dollar and falling oil prices. Gold trading down $12
and silver is down $.38 in a thinly traded market. Many of the
traders have already taken off for the 4th of July holiday in New

ScotiaMocatta: Jul 02, 2009 - Silver remains technically sick
closing near 13.43. The unit is tracking a lovely bear channel lower
with current parameters 13.86 and 12.59. The 13.51 was the last
level of support representing the 61.8% Fibonacci of our 11.83 to
16.24 two month bull run. We see next support the late April high of
13.24 followed by the 76.4% Fibonacci at 12.87. Silver has been so
weak that one has to be concerned about a full 100% retracement to
11.83. The gold/silver ratio keeps moving higher to current 69.55.
Our initial technical target is 70.09 which is the 38.2% pullback of
our 9 month move from 83.90 to 61.55. Recall we turned bullish June
8 at 63.83 after a doji reversal on the weekly was confirmed by a
higher close. Beyond 70.09 is the 50% Fibonacci at 72.73. ....

Bill 173: "Modernizing"
Ontario's Mining Legislation
The Government of Ontario recently introduced proposed amendments to
the Mining Act. The amendments make sweeping changes to the
regulation of prospecting land, staking mining claims, surface
owners' rights, exploration work, diamond mine royalties and
Aboriginal consultation. The proposed amendments must be read in
conjunction with Bill 191, which effectively imposes a moratorium on
mining in the Far North. For more information and analysis please
