In June 2001, PrairieC
Resources Property Development (PrairieC) and Kennecott announced
the discovery of 3 diamond chips in Lorrain Twp. just southeast of the
famed Silver Capital of Canada. It didn't take long to trace the zone
onto adjoining ground owned by Outcrop
Explorations Limited and it's Joint Venture Partner Cabo
Mining Corp of Vancouver (CEV-CDNX). But Cabo was already aware of
this zone from an airborne and ground instrumentation. They are also
aware of another diamond potential in Gillies Limit NP some 8 miles to
the northwest.
Cabo is planning to
have a diamond drill on the Lorrain Twp. diamond potential in early
February and everyone, and I mean everyone will be awaiting the
results!
The Town
of Cobalt will be celebrating its 100th year as a Mining Camp in
2003. The town of Cobalt is also trying to receive Historical Status
from the Federal Government expected this year.
In 1903, the Town of
Cobalt became a household word around the World because of its rich
silver discoveries. At one time, the town had over 100 independent
mines in operation. Today we're looking for diamonds and most of the
potential ground is held by two private Companies, Outcrop
Explorations and PrairieC and their Joint venture Partner Cabo Mining
Corp. I should clarify that the ground on which the three diamond
chips were discovered is owned independently by PrairieC.
Since Cobalt is
already a household word around the World, then, one must assume that
Cabo Mining Corp. will become the next household word if its diamond
drill program comes up with positive results.
